On January 28th, Data Privacy Day is about raising awareness that data rights should be considered fundamental rights.

Most people don’t know the extent to which their personal information is being used by companies for profit and how it can be misused without their knowledge. Data Privacy Day aims to spread awareness of how data is used, who owns it, and what needs to change if we want it protected better going forward.

The way I see it, there are three main types of add-ons: Extensions – These are usually more complex than other types of plugins and offer additional functionality, like a full screen video player or advanced search options for YouTube; Lightsabers – These are a lot like extensions except that they don’t offer any sort of extra features; instead, they just change how your site looks (like turning Facebook into The Matrix); and finally… Plugins – These are very simple pieces of software that act as an add-on to a web browser by adding another functionality (like automatic spell checking), additional content (like recipes from AllRecipes), or even just shortcuts (like Google Search). So go ahead, celebrate this day in any way you wanData Privacy Day is an international event that occurs each year on January 28th. It’s a day to raise awareness of how data is used and how it can be misused without our knowledge. This year, we’re asking you to join us in taking action to protect your data rights.
